Built on Slow Fermentation, Handmade Craft & Thoughtful Sourcing
At See & Be Kitchen, the process matters just as much as the final product. Every loaf, croissant, and pastry is shaped by time, technique, and a commitment to making food in a way that feels better to eat and better to support.
Long-Fermented for Flavor & Digestibility
Our sourdough products are naturally fermented for a minimum of 24 hours, with some doughs developing flavor and structure over the course of 72 hours. This extended fermentation allows the yeast and beneficial microbes more time to break down starches and develop complex flavor, while also creating bread that many people find gentler to digest and more balanced in how it affects energy and blood sugar levels.Wild Yeast Sourdough in Everything We Make
We cultivate and maintain our own wild yeast sourdough starter using the natural yeasts present in our bakery environment and the flours we work with every day. That living starter becomes the foundation of every product we produce, from rustic sourdough loaves to laminated pastries and croissants, adding depth, character, and the unmistakable flavor that comes from true natural fermentation.Truly Handmade from Start to Finish
Our breads and pastries are shaped, folded, scored, baked, and packaged by real people who care deeply about their craft. A single loaf may pass through five sets of hands before it reaches your table. We intentionally rely more on skilled bakers than industrial automation because we believe great bread carries the care, consistency, and attention of the people who make it.Local Relationships & Sustainable Partnerships
Supporting local agriculture and values-driven businesses is foundational to how we operate. We source ingredients thoughtfully, prioritize regional partnerships whenever possible, and work with producers who care about quality, sustainability, and treating people well. From local milk and regional flour mills to cooperative companies like Cabot Creamery and King Arthur Baking Company, we believe good food starts with strong relationships across the entire food system.Where to Find See & Be Kitchen Products
